BESTE PEOPLE

CREATING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS

We are changing our focus and hence the website will change too.  In the meantime if you have any communication issues, conflicts or wish to increase the effectiveness of communication personally, in a team or at work then contact us.  If you wish to know when the website has been updated then send your email address through the contact form.

There is no doubt that everyone and every group however small or big encounters problems during communication on a fairly regular basis.  This is normal.  You can either resolve it or keep it hidden until it blows up in your face.  Keeping it hidden may be common practice but it isn't healthy.  The best thing is to deal with it early on and it is usually easier to see the wood for the trees if you liaise with someone with skills n this area or someone intevenes on your behalf.

The successful communication workshops are still being run on request in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and China.  Most popular workshops are:

Communicate and Be Heard

In this workshop, we examine the fundamentals of communication.  We explore your perceptions relating to your current mode of communication, and explore their validity. Gain important insights into how others relate to you, and vice versa.  Identify the most effective strategies to use to increase the outcomes from your communication positively.  You will also have the opportunity to measure those outcomes.  This process is a practical and highly enjoyable interactive journey, facilitated by an experienced business communications coach.

Don't expect another dose of dry 'How to Communicate' theory.  This practical workshop provides you an opportunity to discover what works and what doesn't about your communication in a relaxed experimental manner.  It gives you the opportunity to put into practice what you learn, and measure your improvement.

Break Through Your Communication Barriers

Effective communication is essential because it has been proven to increase the possibilities of happier cooperative workers, more efficiency, higher quality output, satisfied customers and increased rewards.

Many excellent workshops provide effective strategies and practical tools to increase your effectiveness but when put into practice, you can still get the same results as before. Some of these familiar scenarios include:

  • My messages don’t get through or people don’t listen to me
  • I don’t know how to motivate, inspire or enrol my staff
  • I lose patience with my staff
  • I have difficulty asking for help
  • I lose confidence, get tongue-tied or start mumbling
  • I have difficulty delegating or need to micro manage
  • I am uncomfortable when I sense anger
  • I can’t get people to complete simple tasks

What gets in the way? It may be a behaviour, a habit, a belief or one of many other possibilities and in many cases, you don’t know what causes it. Therefore any tool you learn cannot be effective until you understand and change the limiting factor.

This workshop is about you and your style of communication.  It is about how your style interacts with other styles.  Increasing the effectiveness of your communication requires you to examine the responses to your communication and what it is about you that gets these responses.  The more you understand about yourself, your style of communication, and your beliefs behind your communication in conjunction with other styles of communication and other belief systems, the more effective your communication will become.  It is not something that happens over night.  It develops over time as you practice and become more aware of yourself and the differences between you and others.  Every time you communicate or fail to communicate is an opportunity to develop your communication based on the outcomes.
